We can all breathe a huge sigh of relief into our empty pizza box — Glee's Cory Monteith (Finn) is officially out of rehab after a 30 day stint for substance addiction! Cory's friends and family couldn't be more pumped that he's made it through treatment (this was Cory's second time in rehab), and his Glee co-stars are right there with them.
"I'm very excited," Kevin McHale (Artie) told E! News during Tammy Haddad's annual White House Correspondents' Garden Brunch in Washington, D.C. "I saw the pictures [of Cory and his girlfriend, Lea Michele, flying out of LAX]. He looks great."
Unfortunately, this newly sober singer had to be written out of Glee's season finale thanks to his unexpected trip to rehab, but Kevin thinks the decision was for the best — even though it meant a last minute reworking of Glee's story arch.
"It was the right thing to do," Kevin said, adding that Cory has a "good woman behind him."
We assume Kevin is talking about Glee's resident diva, Lea Michele, but um. Excuse you, Kev. Much like Britney Spears, Lea Michele is "not a girl, not yet a woman," and don't you forget it.
