Darren Criss (Blaine) and most of his Glee co-stars have been vocal supporters of U.S. President Barack Obama, and plenty of them spoke out in support of his 2012 reelection campaign.
President Obama will begin his second term in office with an inauguration ceremony on January 21, and the entire Glee cast has been invited to perform!
Darren and Co. will join a number of other big-name performers, including Beyonce, Katy Perry, Usher, Alicia Keys and Kelly Clarkson, Billboard.com reports.
“Lots of stuff to catch up on and even more to look forward to...” Darren tweeted on January 16. “For starters, I get to play at the Inauguration Concert this Saturday with some pretty amazing people... Very excited,” he added.
Also excited is his co-star Amber Riley (Mercedes), who tweeted, “I'll be in DC this weekend, who can guess why?!?!?” before linking to a story about the concert.
With so many iconic voices signed up to perform, this sounds like an event not to be missed!
