From Miley Cyrus to Jennifer Lawrence, some of young Hollywood’s most popular stars turned out for The Hunger Games premiere on March 12. Among them was none other than Glee’s Darren Criss (Blaine), and he brought along one totally awesome pal!
Darren’s college friend Joey Richter accompanied him to the premiere, and the guys even got to rub elbows with members of the Hunger Games cast.
On March 13, Darren tweeted this photo, saying, “In short, The Hunger Games was great. They did an awesome job. Fun at the premiere tonight with @JoeyRichter @Jackie_Emerson”
Actress Jacqueline Emerson plays Foxface in the Hunger Games — one of Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta’s (Josh Hutcherson) fellow tributes.
The world of popular fantasy books-turned-films is nothing new for Darren and Joey, who co-starred as Harry and Ron in the popular YouTube spoof A Very Potter Musical (and Sequel) a couple years back.
Joey, too, tweeted about his time at the premiere, calling it “oodles of fun” and gushing about how “badass” Jackie Emerson is. “Not ashamed to say I sobbed,” he wrote.
The Hunger Games won’t hit theaters until March 23, and it’s definitely going to be hard to wait. We need to get our hand on a ticket for this movie already!
