It’s finally happening. Darren Criss (Blaine) is heading to a movie theater near you. The Glee star’s career so far has included a number of TV shows and plenty of YouTube success, but he still has yet conquer the big screen — until now.

Darren filmed his first movie, an indie flick called Imogene, back in the fall of 2011, but the Kristen Wiig-led drama has so far only been screened at the Toronto International Film Festival. Back in September, we learned that Lionsgate studios had acquired the rights to distribute Imogene in the U.S., but no official release date had been set at the time.

Now, Deadline is reporting that Imogene will be released this summer: on July 19, 2012. But there’s a catch — the film won’t be called Imogene anymore! Lionsgate has decide to re-name the film Girl Most Likely.

The film tells the story of a young playwright, Imogene (Kristen Wiig), who fakes a suicide attempt with the hopes of getting sympathy from her ex-boyfriend, but ends up stuck living in New Jersey with her crazy mother (Annette Bening). Darren plays her new love interest, Lee, who just so happens to sing in a Backstreet Boys cover band.

If you ask us, Darren and Girl Most Likely should really just quit playing games with our hearts... and make their way to theaters already!
