The Oscars are a night about honoring the finest contributions made to the film industry, so it makes perfect sense that producers would be giving some specific attention to Kermit the Frog, inarguably the year's most talented thespian. (Sorry, Brad Pitt!) But now, our other favorite Hollywood heartthrob is teaming up with Kermit to deliver what should be a show-stopping performance — none other than Darren Criss.

Darren Criss on WhoSay

E!'s pre-annual Oscar coverage on February 26 featured and Kermit duetting on special performance of "Rainbow Connection," in celebration of The Muppet Movie's Oscar nod for their original song, "Man or Muppet." Adorable? Yeah, pretty much.

And for additional confirmation, Darren tweeted out a picture of he and Kermit together, looking about as happy we feel watching the video of their performance. "At rehearsal with Kermit," he wrote. "And I thought I had a froggy voice! #Muppets #ERedCarpet."

Possibly one of the best parts of the entire Oscars? We think so!
