If we told you we totally have a thing for the hot new guy on Glee, would you know which one we were talking about? He’s got brown hair, dark eyes, is built like an athlete — particularly a football player — and absolutely looks like he could have a successful side career as a male model.
Think you know who he is? Because we don’t. Going on that description alone, the identity of this mystery Glee guy could totally be a toss up between one of two brand new Season 4 cast members.
In one corner, we have Australian actor Dean Geyer, who just signed on late last month to play a hot NYADA upperclassman named Brody Weston who will join the cast as a new potential love interest for Rachel (Lea Michele).
She’ll still be in love with Finn (Cory Monteith), but he’s “definitely interested” and won’t give up on trying to win her over. Brody’s been described as a cross between Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff) and Finn. So while he’ll have Jesse’s training and performance finesse, he also seems to have many of Finn’s sporty, jock-like qualities.
In the other corner, we have just-crowned Glee Project winner Blake Jenner. He’s also an athlete. He’s also tall, dark, and handsome. These two new Glee guys aren’t quite twins — but they’re close.
Official details about Blake’s new Glee character haven’t been released so far, but creator Ryan Murphy made it pretty clear that since football jocks Finn (Cory Monteith), Puck (Mark Salling), and Mike (Harry Shum Jr.) all graduated from McKinley last season, the New Directions are in desperate need of a new athlete for their club.
So, while Brody will likely be the Big Man on Campus over in New York City, it appears that Blake will be filling the exact same role over at McKinley High School in Ohio. In other words, Finn Hudson: you just got replaced. Twice.
(But don’t feel too sorry for Cory Monteith, though. He’s still totally on the show. And dating star Lea Michele in real life. So he’s doing just fine.)
Which of the hot new Glee guys do you like the best: The McKinley hottie or the NYADA hottie? Obviously, Glee sees a need to cast a bunch of extremely attractive men this season. (Hey, Sam [Chord Overstreet] shouldn’t have to be the only one getting shirtless and “naked” all the time.)
