Is there a big difference between grabbing something and groping something? If you ask Kate Hudson (Cassandra), there definitely is!

Glee’s Dean Geyer (Brody) revealed to Access Hollywood Live that Kate told him to “grope my ass” to loosen him up during a sexy dance number in Season 4, Episode 6: “Glease.” But now Kate is clearing things up.

“For the record, I did not say, ‘Grope my ass.’ I did not say that!” Kate tells Access Hollywood with a laugh.

“When you’re dancing, people get [close],” Kate continues. “Anybody, I’m sure, who’s done like, Dancing with the Stars [knows] you get very personal and you cannot be apologetic. You just have to do it and this last number I did, you straddle faces and just as a dancer, you just kind of go, ‘Oh, all right.’”

“And for Dean, it was like, ‘Okay, stop being so timid. We gotta get it. Just grab it. It’s fine. We’re gonna get through it,’” she says.

So she apparently said “grab it,” not “grope it.” Got it? Good.

Kate also admits that even she is a little stunned by how cruel Cassandra is getting. “Every time I get a script, I’m like, ‘Oh my God! How far are you going to take Cassandra?’ But I’m loving it,” Kate says. “She’s a really great, fun character to play out, the naughty mean side. And to sing and dance has been just an absolute thrill.”

And Kate has been wowed by Lea Michele (Rachel), as we all are. “Everybody on the show is great. I get to work with Lea a lot. She’s just full of amazing energy. She’s so talented,” says Kate.

Yep, Lea is so talented. But you’re not too shabby yourself, Kate!
