UPDATE: Fox has now officially renewed Glee for both Seasons 5 and 6!
Another day, another Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) diva rumor. The Glee starlet has faced gossip about her supposed diva personality ever since the show started four years ago. Now, the latest rumor is making things even more extreme.
Hollyscoop reports that Glee creator Ryan Murphy is so fed up with Lea’s attitude that he’s “this close” to writing her character out of Season 5 entirely, even though he knows that “many Glee fans won't continue to watch the show without her.
On top of that, the site seems to imply that Lea’s behavior will not only be the death of her character, but also of the entire show
“Glee may be going off the air after next season," the unnamed source says. "Ryan Murphy and the rest of the cast cannot stand Lea Michele. She acts like a diva and is not nice to anyone anymore, even her boyfriend Cory [Monteith]."
Naturally, we’re skeptical of rumors this extreme, and Gossip Cop quickly confirms our suspicions that this entire thing is absolutely bogus. After calling out Hollyscoop for not really even understanding “how TV works,” Gossip Cop confirms that the report is “absolute nonsense,” citing a source close to Ryan Murphy
There you have it: Totally false.
It’s worth noting that Glee has not yet been renewed for Season 5, but the network still has time, and most people seem confident that it will. On top of that, Lea has already confirmed that Rachel will be returning next year. You haven’t seen the last of her yet!
