Spending your days at Vogue having Kikis with Sarah Jessica Parker is great, but we all know that a career in fashion wasn’t Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) first choice. His real dream is to get into NYADA, and during Thursday’s Glee Season 4, Episode 9: “Swan Song,” he will get another chance to do just that.
Whoopi Goldberg is back this week as the ever-intimidating Carmen Tibideaux, and Kurt will take the stage in NYADA’s Round Room to perform “Being Alive” from Company as his second-chance audition for winter acceptance to the school.
We’ve already heard Kurt’s version of the song, and we think he nailed it. But will Carmen agree with us? His rendition of “Not the Boy Next Door” last year was virtually flawless, and Carmen still picked Rachel (Lea Michele) over him.
Sadly, there has been no definitive intel as to whether or not Kurt gets in, but we do have a clue. His dad, Burt, comes to visit him on Christmas during Season 4, Episode 10: “Glee, Actually,” and director Adam Shankman tweeted a photo of the actors hanging out in costume on set.
Burt is clearly wearing a NYADA baseball cap. What reason would he have to wear that hat if he son didn’t get in? We’re sure that Sarah Jessica Parker’s Isabelle has plenty of Vogue caps gathering dust in the back of a closet she could have given him instead.
No, we have the sneaking suspicion that Kurt just might make it in after all.
