Way back in the middle of Season 2, Glee creator Ryan Murphy sat down with Elton John over a cup of java to discuss a possible guest appearance. And, ever since we heard (read: swooned over) Cameron Mitchell's rendition of "Your Song" on The Glee Project, we’ve been imagining Elton standing in for Brad Ellis (the New Directions' piano man) and accompanying someone on one of his songs. Because you know Kurt (Chris Colfer) is Blaine (Darren Criss)'s tiny dancer.
Elton has admitted in the recent past that he'd be "honored" to be a part of Glee and even gave those bands who hate on the show (ahem, we won't name drop because he does) a piece of his music genius mind, saying, "A lot of bands are saying we don't want our stuff on Glee. Like, lighten up, you a**holes! I mean, this is a compliment. It [Glee] sends a positive message out. What the hell is wrong with you guys? Kings of Leon, lighten up guys. Come on!"
Hey, Elton's just saying. (That goes for you too, Dave Grohl.)
So what do you think of the Glee cast tackling some Elton John? Ryan Murphy did dish that another big tribute episode was in the works for this season. Does Sir Elton cut it? If it were up to Matthew Morrison(Will), he’d play... Sue’s boyfriend?!
Well, that would certainly solve Coach Beiste’s romantic problem.
