There is love on the set of Glee, but this time it’s not in the form of Finchel, Puckleberry, Brittana or Wemma. At the Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times 19th Annual Halloween Carnival, Dot-Marie Jones told Wetpaint Entertainment that her character Coach Beiste is about to meet her love match, in a football recruiter from Ohio State.
“I’ve known him for a long time, and there’s always been flirtation,” she says of her new honey, who will be introduced in episode 5. “But, of course, Beiste is aloof.”
Eric Bruskotter, the actor best known for his work on 24, Six Feet Under and most recently Franklin & Bash, will be around for at least two episodes, which Dot-Marie says is going to be “another emotional roller coaster” for her character.
“I love what Ryan the guys have written, especially for episode seven. I’ll cry if I tell you about it, so I’m not gonna,” she teases.
What she will tell us is that the seventh episode includes her first solo number.
“It’s fantastic,” she says, hinting that it’s part of her storyline with Bruskotter. “I’m not saying it’s good though – the reason why I sing it. It’s mortifying!”
