Which outfits dazzled our (gym) socks off — and which will come back to haunt the students (or teachers) in 15 years (as happens with most ill-chosen high school fashions)? We weigh in on the biggest fashion hits and misses from "Home." Because you can always count on Glee's fashion department to swing for the fences... which sometimes means striking out with vigor. Whatever you do, do it with aplomb... and show faces!
Emma was nowhere to be seen in this week's episode, which gave someone else a chance to score style points for a change! Quinn showed surprising emotional maturity in this ep, and her outfits matched her newly bigger (in more ways than one!) self. While talking Mercedes through Healthy Body Image 101, Quinn donned a lovely tiered, scalloped blouse in dove grey chiffon with a black grosgrain ribbon belt. It's refreshing to see her in something a little more sophisticated and in an older color palette. Black jeans keep the outfit appropriate and casual enough for her high school environment.
We'll give Finn's mom a pass in the "miss" category because she's a mom and, well, moms have given up. (We kid!) But April is clearly no one's mom. (And thank the lord for that!) While she's playing the role of a vixen, we wish April wasn't also channeling the '70s with her roller-rink outfit. April looked like one of Charlie's Angels with her stretchy denim jumpsuit, replete with flared bottoms and dropped-waist gold belt. For the love of Donna Summer, make it stop! It's one thing to show off her bod, but it's another to look trashy, and we don't think we have to tell you which side this look landed on. (Answer: the trashy side. Were you not paying attention?)
