Florence + the Machine Loves Glee!

We weren’t the only ones who loved the Glee cast cover “Dog Days are Over” by Florence + the Machine in Season 2, Episode 9, “Special Education.” Florence did too!

Lead singer Florence Welch — who performed at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, this week — was beside herself with excitement when Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) and Amber Riley (Mercedes) took the lead in singing her hit song.

"I saw it over Christmas. I was with my family and I was in my slippers and robe in our kitchen dancing around to it. I was sooo into it,” she gushed.

Welch says it was almost a dream come true. "It was like, this was a song I had written in a basement in a tiny studio in South London and now it's on Glee!" she said. "It was surreal."
