It only makes sense that a musical show as awesome as Glee would get some Grammy love, right?

While most of the show’s individual stars have a ways to go before they’re rubbing elbows with the likes of Adele and Lady Gaga in, say, the Album of the Year category, they certainly have something to be gleeful about this morning.

Plus, a Grammy nom is a Grammy nom. (Do you have one? Didn’t think so.)

The cast’s  Glee: The Music, Volume 4 — which features “Empire State of Mind,” “Teenage Dream” and other covers from Season 2 — landed a spot in the “Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media” category (phew!).

Glee goes up against albums for other hit TV shows like True Blood and Boardwalk Empire, as well as Disney’s Tangled and the Cher/Christina Aguilera-powered Burlesque major motion picture soundtracks.

The 54th annual Grammy Awards show will air on February 12, 2012 on CBS. For the full list of Grammy nominees list, click here!
