We were excited at the prospect of an additional wedding proposal in January 17’s return ep “Yes/No,” and now a new interview with Lea Michele (Rachel) is stoking the fire, teasing “something big” for McKinley High’s resident adorable duo!
In the interview with E! Online, Lea dished that there’s “some fantastic stuff” in store for Finn (Cory Monteith) and Rachel in the second half of Season 3, saying, “I think Finchel fans are going to be really happy about our upcoming storyline. Great duets, great songs. I got to sing a really emotional song for him that will be featured in our next episode.”
Emotional as in: Yes, I accept your marriage proposal emotional?? Lea didn’t say, but we’re certainly hoping that’s what it means!
And since we know Cory Monteith will be joining Lea when Glee’s graduating seniors stick around come season four ― in what Lea calls an “incredibly groundbreaking” twist that’s “revolutionary for television” ― who knows what the future could bring! But we’re keeping the options open...
Sounds like if Lea Michele had her way, the Finchel bond would be for LIFE. “Cory and I like to say we’re like a two-for-one deal. She wouldn’t be there without him,” she told E!.
“We talked about it and we were both so happy. I’m just enjoying working with Cory. I feel like we’ve grown so much together as actors working together. I’m just really grateful because he’s such a pleasure to work with.”
