As we previously spoiled, Glee will allow one more tribute episode (Episode 11 — unofficially titled "Michael") in the second half of Season 3, dedicated to the music of Michael Jackson. The New Directions take on 12 songs from the King of Pop's discography going as far back as his his early Jackson 5 days.
Rumor has it (see what we did there?) some of the former members of The Troubletones are cranky about missing out on the Jackson medley at Sectionals, what with singing for another group and all, so Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) lets them all have at it during what he declares “Michael Week.”
Blaine (Darren Criss) tackles "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'," while Rachel (Lea Michele) and Finn (Cory Monteith) take on "I Just Can't Stop Loving You."
Even The Warblers, including Sebastian (Grant Gustin), get a Jackson tune to perform! (UPDATE: The latest buzz is that Santana [Naya Rivera] and the new Warbler go head-to-head during a performance of "Smooth Criminal" — could we BE any more excited?!)
Personally, we'd gladly invite another rendition of "Man in the Mirror," but it would be pretty sweet if The Warblers busted out some a capella "I Want You Back."
Stay tuned to the MJ tribute ep on January 24, 2012!
