Tomorrow night’s Glee Season 3, Episode 18, “Choke,” is set to be a wee bit of a game-changer, as TVLine teases that the night will change the lives of FOUR – count ‘em, FOUR: Puck (Mark Salling), Rachel (Lea Michele), Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Coach Beiste (Dot-Marie Jones) – of the show’s characters.
Season 3, Episode 18 carries that very loaded title, “Choke,” and we have a feeling there will be a variety of meanings that go along with the label…
We’ve been hearing rumors that someone would reveal an abusive relationship throughout the course of the ep, and now all signs point to that person being Coach Beiste, who shares a “dark secret” about her relationship with husband Cooter. Details on the specifics remain slim, but TVLine says that guest-star Dot-Marie Jones “makes a compelling case for herself to win that guest-star Emmy.” Sounds emotional!
ALSO on deck: those NYADA auditions. Rachel and Kurt’s respective time in front of the school’s dean, played by Whoopi Goldberg, are said to elicit “polar-opposite verdicts” (triple eep!), and TVLine warns that “those of you who felt that Kurt was given short shrift this season – take it from us, this hour will more than make up for it.”
Sooooo, safe to say that Kurt is the one who nails the audition? Poor Rachel!!
And there’s more! A “bro-vention” between Puck and Finn (Cory Monteith) when the latter finds out that Puck may not graduate! A scene in which Blaine (Darren Criss)… boxes! (Dare we even hope for another shirtless shower montage?) Plus, some seriously awesome songs from some of Broadway’s best (Phantom, Chicago, The Boy From Oz, and My Fair Lady)!
Ready? Oh, we’re soooo ready.
