Unless you’ve been carefully avoiding any and all talk of Glee on the internet for the past month, then you’re probably aware that somebody — make that multiple somebodies — will be breaking up in Glee Season 4, Episode 4.
That mighty-hyped episode is entitled “The Break-Up” — and producers have confirmed that the relationship of every core couple on the show will be put to the test, and many of them won’t make it out intact.
Executive Producer Brad Falchuk already confirmed that Finn (Cory Monteith) and Rachel (Lea Michele) will officially call it quits by the end of the episode, and now Darren Criss (Blaine) has basically just said that the same will happen for Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine.
When asked point-blank by TV Line if Klaine would break up, Darren responded, “Well, a bunch of people are, but that’s no secret. The internet knows everything. So I don’t feel bad about spilling the beans on that one.”
Well, yeah. There are those pictures of Kurt running away from Blaine, sobbing, while No Doubt’s breakup anthem “Don’t Speak” plays in the background. But that could have meant plenty of other things. (Like maybe Kurt and Blaine fight, but they don’t actually break up. Right? Come join us now in our denial.)
Sadly, Darren isn’t exactly helping feed into our deluded fantasies. “Everything is turning upside down. So, whatever that means to you,” he says.
“It might happen to Klaine. [wink] It might happen to some other people you know. Come on, what do you want me to say? It’s out there on the internet.”
Watch the video. Watch Darren’s wink (it’s around the 7:00 mark). Slowly let it sink in.
