Glee manages to pack an insane number of songs into each episode, which means there will always be a few standouts, along with the inevitable dud or two. We've narrowed the performances from Season 4, Episode 14: “I Do,” down to the very best and the coulda-done-without. Do you agree with our picks?
Best Performance of the Night: “We’ve Got Tonite” by Finchel, Klaine, Jarley, Quinntana, and Artie-Betty
We get not one but all five sexy couples joining forces on this amazing number! In fact, Finn (Cory Monteith) and Rachel (Lea Michele) prove that they should stop all this separation silliness and get back together already (endgame!), as their voices sound perfect together.
In terms of the vocals on this song, there’s no walk of shame needed by any of the participants whatsoever. Of course, there might be some shame felt by the singers for other reasons.
Worst Performance of the Night: “You’re All I Need to Get By” by Jake and Marley
The vocals on “(Not) Getting Married Today” might not have been pitch-perfect — although Mercedes (Amber Riley) killed it! — but there’s no denying that Emma (Jayma Mays) gives quite the standout performance, and perhaps her best ever. So this week’s dubious distinction goes to Jarley, who didn’t quite do enough to impress us.
Perhaps it was just too hard to entirely enjoy Jake (Jacob Artist) and Marley (Melissa Benoist) getting their flirt on when Ryder (Blake Jenner) was off in the background, suffering like a champ? Still, this performance wasn’t a total loss, since we’d never turn down a chance to see the guys in ruffled shirts.
