Looks like we're in for some major ch-ch-changes on Glee! Every year, our favorite nerds compete in three competitions: Sectionals, Regionals and Nationals. But here's the catch! The Glee cast are currently filming Episode 19 of just 22, and they haven't even tackled Regionals yet — a competition that usually takes place around Episode 15.
If the Season 4 finale centers around Regionals, Nationals won't even air this season — and you know what that means! It looks like the end of Season 4 might not feature a Gleeky graduation, which means Season 5 could potentially pick up half way through the school year.
If the show decides to go that route, this would mean that Blaine (Darren Criss), Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), Brittany (Heather Morris) and Artie (Kevin McHale) will be dancing their way through the halls of McKinley High for upwards of an entire new season, and the Glee Powers That Be won't have to deal with where to send them post graduation!
Ryan Murphy has made it pretty clear that he wants to take a break from Glee's typical season-to-season format, and breaking senior year into two seasons could be his way of changing things up. "We're doing some weird sh*t on the show, just wait," he recently told The Hollywood Reporter. "I don't want to do what we've done every year; I want to do something different."
