Turns out the insider who earlier this month teased that the last few eps of Glee’s third season would be “super-emotional” was right on the mark!
TVLine reports that at this week’s Television Academy Foundation TV Summit – phew, that’s a mouthful – the co-chair of 20th Century Fox Television, Dana Walden, added a few more positive adjectives into the mix, teasing the show’s future eps would be “funny,” “exciting” and “powerful.”
(Just tell us what happens already!!!! Okay, don’t...)
You like your teases vague, right, guys??? Here we go…
“It’s exciting, and driving towards graduation and an exciting end to the season,” Walden said of the show’s return on April 10, following up that the rest of the season sets the stage for “a very powerful finale when viewers get to see what’s on the horizon for all of these characters that people love so deeply. We’re [building] to a very exciting launch into next season.”
As for that super-secretive new format that season four is set to unveil, Walden remained mostly coy, while saying, “I see it as a continuation of Glee. I don’t define it in any one way or another. It feels like Glee to me. The ideas that Ryan [Murphy]’s discussed with me feel consistent with this amazing series. It feels very consistent in a dynamic and entertaining way.”
Sooo, it’s gonna be Glee, but, like, not normal Glee? Ehhh? Are we inching closer to that previously-discussed show-within-a-show format? [As in, are Rachel and Kurt moving to New York?!] Or is there some other revolutionary trick up Ryan Murphy’s sleeve? We just don’t know what to make of all these season four teases at this point!
But in the meantime, we’re stockin’ up on Kleenex for what promises to be a wild ride to this season’s finale…
