The big debut of Glee’s Season 4 premiere, “The New Rachel” is now just over a week away! The first new episode of Season 4 airs on a new night: Thursday, September 13, at 9pm, and FOX has now released their official description of the drama awaiting us. Take a look at all the action to come, both inside the familiar walls of McKinley High School back in Ohio — and in Glee’s brand-new location of NYC.
The members of New Directions compete amongst themselves to become the next star of the glee club. During open auditions, a fresh crop of students is introduced, including Marley (Melissa Benoist) and Jake Puckerman (Jacob Artist), Puck’s (Mark Salling) half-brother. Meanwhile, Rachel (Lea Michele) has a rocky start at NYADA and struggles to please her demanding dance teacher, Cassandra July (guest star Kate Hudson). She also meets Brody (Dean Geyer), a handsome upperclassman in the Season 4 premiere, “The New Rachel.”
Whoopi Goldberg also returns as NYADA professor Carmen Tibideaux, and, back in Ohio, Becca Tobin makes her debut as snarky new cheerleader, Kitty, while Season 1 Glee Project finalist Alex Newell’s character, Wade (aka Unique) decides to transfer to McKinley High.
