When we think of attractive high schoolers breaking into song in the middle of the cafeteria, secret summer relationships, and inspirational stories of love enduring despite all obstacles, we think of Glee. But the magical world of McKinley owes a lot to the musical that had all of those things — and poodle skirts, too — Grease.

In Season 3, the gang gave Rydell High a nod with Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Mercedes (Amber Riley) singing “Summer Nights.” And looking all the way back to Season 1, Rachel and Finn sang “You’re The One That I Want” (which was so awkward, considering Finchel was a long way off from happening).

Well, it looks like things are about to get even Greaseier. And that’s not all — Santana (Naya Rivera) will be singing along too!

John Lock, aka the New Directions’s drummer, tweeted “Glad to see @NayaRivera is here today! Smoochy be killin this stage” and Naya herself also mentioned she’d be in the episode saying “On my way to work to sing some grease songs!”

We know that McKinley will be performing Grease as their musical in Season 4, Episode 6, and that competition for the lead roles will be hot. What we don’t know is how Santana will be featured in the play, who will be playing what roles, and whether this may be the moment when Jake and Marley finally kiss!

Based on the pic Naya tweeted of her hair, we’d say she might be reprising her Rizzo-esque role from Season 3... What do you think?
