Burt Hummel (Mike O’Malley) is without a doubt one of the greatest fathers on television, but we’ve sadly seen very little of him so far on Glee this season.

Burt did drive his son to the airport, sending Kurt (Chris Colfer) off to New York City to pursue his dreams. But since that moment, we’ve seen and heard nothing from him! So is Burt coming back to Glee at all? And if so, how big of an arc will he have?

Wetpaint Entertainment spoke exclusively with Mike O'Malley at the premiere of his new movie Certainty, which he wrote, on November 27, and he gave us a few teasers of what’s in store when Kurt and Burt reunite in New York City for Glee’s  Season 4 Christmas special: “Glee, Actually.”

Are you on Glee coming up?
Coming out on the Christmas episode — well, not coming out. Wouldn't that be interesting? Burt is coming out in the Christmas episode. I will be in the Christmas episode, so I'm looking forward to that. I get to go to New York and visit with Kurt. The Christmas episode feels like a movie — very spectacular.

Any other episodes?
The one coming up, nothing other than that.

What do you think about Kurt's storyline this year?
I think it's been great. The only thing that hasn't been great is less opportunity for me to be on the show.
