Back in 2010, after Emma Watson’s scenes for the Harry Potter movies were officially complete, the actress infamously chopped off her hair — leaving behind a bold, and very un-Hermione Granger style ‘do.

So after Mark Salling (Puck) shaved off his signature mohawk just this weekend, we have to ask: Is he doing the exact same thing?

For the vast majority of the past three seasons of Glee, Puck has always had his mohawk. So does Mark’s decision to shave it off mean that he’s officially off the show for good? Puck is a senior this year, and signs are pointing towards the fact that he just may be graduating and heading off to L.A. in the Fall.

Yes, we know Puck’s currently failing and might have to repeat his senior year, but we still think he has a good chance of making it, anyway. After all, he’s shown on the cover of Glee’s graduation album.

Plus, Mark tweeted on May 11, “when i think back on my hi skool experience i will think of Glee. its almost eerie how much this feels like the summer after my senior year

It’s certainly sounding to us like Puck graduates! But what would graduation mean for Mark’s future on the show? So far, the only three graduating seniors confirmed for Season 4 are Rachel (Lea Michele), Finn (Cory Monteith) and Kurt (Chris Colfer). Fellow graduates Mercedes (Amber Riley) and Quinn (Dianna Agron) have already been rumored as out, though nothing is confirmed yet.

So is shaving his head Mark’s way of giving fans a clue that he’s out? Not necessarily. Glee Season 4 won’t start filming for another few months, so that should give Mark plenty of time to grow a new mohawk before the show begins. Plus, bad boy Puck could always decide to shave his mohawk and take on a new image after graduation. Stranger things have happened.

In addition, this is the first summer on three years of Glee that Mark hasn’t had to keep Puck’s mohawk for the summer. Glee’s not holding their summer concert tour this year, so Mark has no reason to keep his signature Puck look intact for these next few months, anyway.

Bottom line: Don’t freak out. Mark shaving his head doesn’t mean Puck’s leaving Glee for good. That decision just hasn’t been made yet.
