In one of (yes, one of) the most shocking moments of Glee’s Season 3 finale, Kurt (Chris Colfer) discovered that New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts had rejected his application.

NYADA is the only school Kurt applied to, so where is he supposed to go from here? Sure, Kurt could always wait around Ohio another year and audition again later — but he might not even want to.

Chris Colfer spoke with TV Line recently, and the Glee star alluded that his character might have given up on Broadway altogether! “We’ll see if he still wants to be a performer,” Chris tells the site. “I don’t know if he’s hardened after that [NYADA] experience.”

Has Kurt decided to pursue a different sort of career, instead? Chris wouldn’t say for sure, but the actor has mentioned in the past that he thinks Kurt might be able to have a future in the fashion industry.

Whatever road Kurt decides to take, Chris guarantees that his character will be “back full-force” next season. Yet while Kurt and his boyfriend, Blaine (Darren Criss), may have ended Season 3 on a good note, Kurt isn’t counting out the potential for drama in Season 4.

“I almost can’t say anything without giving [something] away,” Chris says. “They’re still together as far as I know. So we’ll see where that takes them.”

Any guesses about big secret he’s trying to not give away? If we had to speculate, our bet’s on Kurt making the big move to New York City. Who needs NYADA? That city still holds plenty of promise. Plus, Kurt and Blaine already agreed to give a long distance relationship a shot. It might be tough, but we totally have faith they can make it work!
