If you’ve been keeping up with the on-set photos and eyewitness accounts from Glee Season 4 filming in New York City this weekend, then you know that the future of both Finchel and Klaine’s relationships appear to be in some serious trouble.

Both couples were seen arguing in a NYC park during a scene filmed late last night, and all of them ended the night in tears. In particular, eyewitness accounts from fans on Twitter have many convinced that Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss), in particular, just broke up.

During the scene, Blaine says something that makes Kurt burst into tears and storm away. No one seems to have been close enough to hear the dialogue, but the scene could certainly be interpreted as a break up.

But — is it really? We were already skeptical that Glee would give away such a pivotal breakup moment by filming it in public. Now, Glee creator Ryan Murphy has taken to Twitter to respond to the fan outcry about this potential breakup.

On the morning of August 13, Ryan tweeted, “Shippers! Take a deep breath. Watch the season and the stories unfold. Have fun. All will be revealed.#howaboutwewatchtheepisodesfirst.”

In other words: Stop. Freaking. Out.

So far, there’s no proof that Kurt and Blaine actually have broken up — or how long it will last if they did. Plus, Ryan said he “believes in happy endings.” That has to be a good sign! (Mainly because we are in denial and refuse to accept anything otherwise.)
