Oh, Ryan Murphy. Why must you toy with us so?
The Glee creator just dropped a romance bombshell during a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter. And then he offered absolutely zero additional details.
Ryan had been talking about the future of Glee Season 4 and what to expect in future episodes — tribute episodes, Christmas surprises, and the like — when he suddenly added, “And a Valentine’s Day wedding.”
Of course, the most obvious explanation is that this could simply be the long-expected nuptials between Will (Matthew Morrison) and Emma (Jayma Mays). Yet, given how much strain the two have been under in their relationship lately, and considering that he’s about to leave her to move to Washington D.C. for a few months, we can’t help but wonder if some other couple might be tying the knot instead!
Rachel (Lea Michele) and Finn (Cory Monteith) were engaged once. Granted, they’ve since broken up and won’t even be speaking for a while. However, Valentine’s Day is still a while off. And Ryan did tell us recently that some of this season’s breakups won’t be permanent after all.
Could it be Quinn (Dianna Agron) who will be announcing an engagement? We know very little about her recent love life. But whatever Q’s romantic decisions have been lately, we know for sure that Santana (Naya Rivera) will be very unhappy about them. She’ll even go as far as to slap Quinn when she finds out.
So while it’s not likely that Quinn will be the one getting married, we’d say it’s a least still a possibility. What do you think? Which of Glee’s characters do you think is headed to the altar this Valentine’s Day?
UPDATE: Okay, so we do know the confirmed identity of the couple already. And the luckly lovebirds are...
