Pretty much the only thing keeping us from going into conniptions about the lack of Damian McGinty (Rory) on Glee is the fact that show creator Ryan Murphy recently tweeted that Damian will appear in the upcoming Thanksgiving episode. But do we now not even have that to look forward to?

Damian spoke to his hometown paper, the Derry Journal, and made it clear that he still does not yet know if he’ll be stopping by McKinley for Turkey Day. “There are rumors online that I am coming back, but nothing is confirmed at all,” he says. He reiterates that “nothing is set in stone” regarding his return. [Insert the sound of us pounding our fists in anger here.]

So what gives? We’re totally confused as to why the Irish cutie hasn’t yet been offered a spot on the Thanksgiving episode, especially considering that it was Ryan Murphy himself who announced Damian’s return. When responding to a Glee fan who asked on Twitter whether Damian would be back on the show, Ryan tweeted, “Yes. Wait for Thanksgiving.” So did we all just get our hopes up for no reason?

That said, Damian wants us to know that he still has other irons in the TV fire. “I am working on several other projects at the minute, which are very exciting,” Damian reveals. “Hollywood takes time for things to happen, but fingers crossed, with a bit of help from God, and a bit of luck, it’ll work out.”

And while we certainly want to see Damian on as many shows as possible, we’re still holding out hope that he’ll end up in that Thanksgiving episode. We know it’s just Twitter, but Ryan Murphy promised. Don’t break our hearts, Glee!
