Has Glee’s Puck (Mark Salling) traded in his regular, more subdued mohawk for a sky-high red one? (Then again, is there really ever such thing as a “subdued” mohawk?)
We’ve only seen Puck in one scene so far this season, when Schue gets him to talk some sense into his half-brother Jake (Jacob Artist) in Episode 2: “Britney 2.0.” But photos started to emerge last week from a Glee shoot featuring the McKinley graduate in a tall, bright red mohawk, plus a red superhero outfit (with fake abs!) and a cape. So what gives?
As it turns out, this is from a scene in an upcoming Glee episode in which we’ll get a glimpse of Puck’s new life in L.A., according to E! Online. It appears that his pool-cleaning business is not exactly taking off, so he’ll be trying to make money by dressing up as a superhero and getting tourists to pay for photos with him, which is a common thing on Hollywood Blvd. (for some reason).
As for an explanation of the exact outfit that Puck is wearing, he appears to have created a superhero character based on himself, judging by the exaggerated mohawk and the letter “P” on the chest. Maybe everyone now has to refer to him as “Super Puck”?
In other Puck news, we will see Mr. Sex Tornado continuing to get to know Jake. Also, there’s a chance that Jake will be turning to Puck for romantic advice, given that Jake’s love life is about to get pretty darn complicated. So perhaps this means that Puck will be throwing in the towel on his life in L.A. and heading back to Lima for the time being?
Frankly, we’d love to see Puck back on Glee on a more regular basis, so we think this is a great sign. And if we also periodically get to see him in a sleeveless, skintight superhero outfit... well, let’s just say we won’t be complaining much about that either!
