No matter how you measure it, Glee is getting ready for some BIG changes in the weeks to come. With so many seniors about to graduate, and we’re guessing that means a pretty big format change headed our way for Season 4.

That is, of course, unless confirmed returners Lea Michele (Rachel) and Chris Colfer (Kurt)  somehow get stuck in Lima rather than heading for NYADA – but that won’t happen, right?

And while mum is decidedly still the word on what’s set to go down, some of the principle cast members are doing their best to dispel our fears of the future. Matthew Morrison (Will) tells the Hollywood Reporter, “We don’t know what’s going on but I think people come and go and maybe come back for stuff. But technically, we won’t see these people every episode coming up because they’ll be gone.”

Wait, what?! Multiple episodes with some of our favorite characters nowhere in sight?

Lea Michele adds, “I know the formula for next season; Ryan [Murphy] has given me all the lovely insight and it just gives you everything you want and everything you want to see. It’s going to be really exciting.”

Okay, that makes us feel a little better. But still we gotta ask the big question here… HOW!! And our biggest concern: What will the change do to the show’s core ‘ships – especially those that cross grade levels!

Chris Colfer says only that he has a “light sprinkling” as to what the show has planned for Kurt and Blaine (Darren Criss), but says “it sounds pretty cool.” We’d take this as a good sign, except for Chris is also the guy who has been asking for more Klaine drama. Eep!

Nevertheless, THR reports that the fate of Kurt and Blaine’s relationship will be revealed by the Season 3 finale. Will they decide to keep things up long distance, or is Klaine going to take some time off? Dun dun dunnn…

So, uhh, May 22, where are you?
