Glee Stars Reveal Vacation Plans for Summer 2012: Movies, Books, and Albums
It’s been a long, crazy season on Glee (‘bout to get crazier tomorrow night!), and our favorite stars have certainly earned a few months of rest and relaxation before the start of what promises to be an exciting Season 4!
As the season comes to a close, TVGuide’s William Keck touched base with everyone – seriously, everyone! – to see what their summer plans would entail…
Fan-fave Chris Colfer (Kurt) told William, “I will be working on my new book and sleeping in every chance I get,” while Lea Michele (Rachel) said, “I’m going to stay home with my family in New York for awhile. I’m looking forward to seeing Ricky Martin in [Broadway’s] Evita and Andrew Garfield in Death of a Salesman.”
Jayma Mays (Emma) and Cory Monteith (Finn) will be working on new films – Jayma films The Smurfs 2 with Neil Patrick Harris, while Cory says, “I’m going to do an independent film toward the end of the summer. It’s going to be a lot darker than Glee and a much different character from Finn.”
The most popular responses, though? Recording (yay!) and sittin’ on beaches!
Those working on new tunes include Naya Rivera (Santana), Amber Riley (Mercedes), Mark Salling (Puck), Chord Overstreet (Sam), and Matthew Morrison (Will), who told William, “I just signed with Adam Levine’s new label. I’m one of the first artists he’s signed and will be recording my second album. It’s going to be a collection of standards, which is what I love to sing, like ‘Hey There’ and ‘It Don’t Mean a Thing.’”
