Amber Riley (Mercedes) is up for a 2012 NAACP award! Announcements on January 18 revealed that the Glee actress is has been nominated in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Her competition for the award includes Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara, Maya Rudolph of Up All Night, Gabourey Sidibe of The Big C, Keshia Knight Pulliam of Tyler Perry's House of Payne.

Winners will be announced during a live awards show on February 17 at 8 PM on NBC. Congrats to Amber on the nomination, and best of luck in bringing home the award!
