Look, we realize that Glee’s Sam (Chord Overstreet) isn’t gay — and we’re also not trying to make every Glee character gay. But we have to at least acknowledge that the show has been suggesting what a cute couple he and Blaine (Darren Criss) would make.
So here are five reasons why we would totally squeal if Blam someday were to become a romantic couple. Nightbird and Blond Chameleon forever!
1. Blaine and Sam bring out the best in each other.
In the past, these two have bickered over their differing views on sexuality. However, we’ve come to love how they each encourage what makes the other special. Blaine keeps Sam grounded, as seen when he gets Sam to focus on college. Meanwhile, Sam brings out Blaine’s more spirited side, which we see when they swipe the trophy from the Warblers. Let’s face it: They’re better together!
2. They look amazing in superhero costumes together. BLAM!
We’ve wanted them to give things a shot ever since seeing that sting operation in which they retrieved their trophy from Dalton in hilarious hero costumes — not to mention their amazing rendition of the song “Heroes.” And the fact that they’re both so passionate about glee club and about fighting for their teammates makes them even more perfect for each other. Swoon!
3. Two words: That video!
Does Glee really think we could see the video in Season 4, Episode 12: “Naked,” that Blaine makes for Sam — with everyone saying what they like about him — and that we wouldn’t want them to instantly get together? Then again, maybe we’re just bitter that Blaine has yet to make an adorable video for us.
4. They’re quite possibly the two best-looking guys on the show.
Who doesn’t like it when sexy people get together? And as the two highest-ranking fellas on our list of Glee’s Top 10 Hottest Guys, it would be fitting if they ended up dating. If we can realize how hot they both are, why can’t they realize it about each other, too?
5. Sam is a good change from Kurt. For now.
We’re not gonna lie: Ultimately, we’re hoping to see Klaine end up back in each other’s arms. But in the meantime, we think Sam offers Blaine a nice change of pace from Kurt (Chris Colfer). And Blaine is more serious-minded than Sam’s recent significant others, like Brittany (Heather Morris) and Mercedes (Amber Riley), which would benefit Sam as well. Variety is the spice of life, right?
