Glee’s Brittana: Five Reasons Why Brittany and Santana Are Meant To Be

We love all of the adorable couples on Glee (duh!), but there’s no doubt that we have an extra-special place in our hearts for the magical, unicorn-loving duo known as Brittana. Things between those two have never been easy. Though we rejoiced when they finally made it official (albeit not publicly) in Season 3, Episode 4, “Pot O’ Gold,” Santana’s heartbreaking outing two episodes later, in “Mash Off,” could be another major roadblock in their journey of love

But we have faith that they’ll find a way to make it work because… well, they’re meant to be, right? In fact, here are five reasons why we know that Brittany (Heather Morris) and Santana (Naya Rivera) will be and stay together.

We of course love these two girls on their own, but it’s when they’re together that they’re the best that they can be. Santana encourages Brittany’s creative side, while Brittany allows us to see the softer, more human Santana. And let’s face it — when these two say “I love you,” we envy anyone who owns stock in Kleenex (in other words, our tear ducts runneth over).

Is there a funnier couple than Brittana? We think not. Between Santana’s lightning-quick takedowns and Brittany’s, uh, “uncomplicated” interpretation of the world around her, it’s an impossible task to decide who leaves us cheesing more. Long story short, they both know how to avoid taking things too seriously, but they’re careful not to poke fun at each other. (Rachel [Lea Michele], on the other hand, is fair game for both.)

Without question, this is McKinley’s hottest couple! Okay, so maybe this makes us sound a tad shallow, but between their amazing style and smokin’ bods — not to mention the talents that brought us a can’t-look-away performance of “Me Against the Music” in Season 2 — they’ve got what it takes to give Brangelina a run for their sexiest couple crown.

In addition to the aforementioned Britney Spears/Madonna cover, some of our favorite songs from the series have been “Run the World (Girls)” and “Landslide” — both courtesy of Brittana. With Brittany’s ability to dance like nobody’s business and Santana’s enviable vocal range, you’d have to be made out of stone to not be wowed by their performances. 

Brittana is exactly the kind of couple this show represents: They’re not perfect but they love and protect and lean on each other when they need it most. Brittany and Santana have had their share of ups and downs separately, but they’re simply happy when they’re together... and so are we!
