Damian McGinty (Rory) has been away from Glee’s McKinley High for waaaay too long, if you ask us. While we’ve been awaiting his return, we’ve gotten a little stir crazy, imagining wishes we’d get him to grant us if he were an actual leprechaun (shh don’t tell Britt he’s not).

One of those, is for him to come back to set a whole lot more. And why not? He talks to Ireland’s Derry Journal about his return, saying “It’s always a pleasure to be back on that set. It’s so much fun, and I had a great time during my year there. I made a lot of friends, and worked with a lot of incredible people. I learned a lot which is only going to help me out further down the line.”

He’ll be back on the Christmas episode, “Glee, Actually” as Artie (Kevin McHale)’s guardian angel who leads him through an It’s a Wonderful Life-inspired sequence. But will he be back again in a less dreamy way? It’s possible. The actor would love to do some more acting in 2013, “whether it’s Glee or another project.”

The Glee Project winner spills more about his return, saying “it was funny, after having a break and focusing on other things, I felt incredibly refreshed there, and I could sense my own progress whilst filming, compared to where I was when I started filming 18 months ago. And that is a strange thing. Normally you are acting and hoping it’s O.K. But I just felt much more comfortable, and that was down to the experience I have gained while on the show.”

See, Rory Damian? A more permanent role would be the perfect wish for all of us. Just sayin’.
