Faberry, or Quinn Fabray (Dianna Agron) and Rachel Berry (Lea Michele): Without a doubt, it’s the most fan-beloved couple on all of Glee. Well, out of couples that don’t actually exist.

Glee has never written a Quinn-Rachel romance into any of its scripts, but plenty of fans are still very much convinced these two need to end up together. So when After Ellen spoke with star Dianna Agron at the 2012 GLAAD Media Awards, the topic of Faberry was something they just had to ask about.

So is Dianna even aware of the fan-favorite pairing? And if so, what does she think the girl’s chances are of ever getting together on the show?

First off, Dianna confirms that she is well aware of what Faberry is: she’s “definitely” heard about it before. “I mean we hear about it, especially at events like this. I think I definitely understand. Sometimes you’re watching a show and you really like relationships between people and you wish there was more. ”

Yet while the starlet calls all the fan interest in the couple “very flattering,” she maintains that the girls’ dynamic on the show is simply that of a “very unlikely friendship,” and not actual romance.

Wah wah wah. That said, Dianna does have one line about her working relationship with co-star Lea Michele that any Achele fans out there might enjoy. “But I’ve had so much fun with Lea and I think that’s a testament to that.”

In addition, Dianna adds weight to our suspicions that Glee does, in fact, make nods and sly references to Faberry on the show. Take Santana’s (Naya Rivera) infamous (though sarcastic) “Stop making out with Berry and get into the Spanish room, Quinn” from Season 3, Episode 19: “Prom-asaurus.”

“I know. I think maybe the writers are having fun with that a little bit,” Dianna says. “But I think also too they were a very unlikely friendship and the fact that they did find their place, I think definitely opened doors for people’s imagination.”

But will Quinn and Rachel even have the chance to develop something more in Glee Season 4? Rachel’s coming back, for sure, but Quinn’s return still may be only for a few episodes or so.

“I have no idea,” Dianna says. “They are writing right now. We’re waiting and we’ll take whatever we get.”
