Oh, Glee. We love it when you get all meta on us.

Fans of the show are known for their passionate fanbase of ‘shippers, and during tonight’s Season 4, Episode 14: “I Do,” Glee called out the fan community in a very specific way.

It happened right after Rachel (Lea Michele) caught the wedding bouquet. Her ex-boyfriend and ex-fiance, let’s not forget! Finn (Cory Monteith) was tearing petals off a daisy like a 13-year-old girl, convinced that Rachel still loved him. (She loves him. She loves him not. Flowers don’t lie!)

Finn launched into a whole extended metaphor about how relationships are like flowers, and he ended with letting Rachel know that he’s convinced that the two of them are going to be together forever.

“You’re my girlfriend. We’re endgame. I know that and you know that.”

Yes, Finn just said “endgame.” The ‘shipper term for a relationship that is meant to be... forever. Finchel just went meta on itself. If that isn’t a tiny little love letter to Glee fans, we don’t know what is. He loves us.
