Heather Morris plays the ditz-y Brittany on Glee, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t blessed with a big and thoughtful heart in real life — as evidenced by her close relationship with her mother.
“I still call my mom 'the worrier' instead of 'the warrior,’” she wrote in the May 2011 issue of Glamour. “When I was on tour in Europe dancing with Beyonce, she visited me specifically because she was concerned about my safety. I try to make her laugh, because she needs it.” Adorable. And important, since Heather’s dad passed away when she was in high school.
“My dad died before my freshman year of high school, and I wanted to be there for her for a change. He was her life, her one love. Even now that she's so much better about it all, I tell her, 'I wish we could live together so that I could be your best friend (and you could feed me taco salad!)' I have to talk on the phone with her or text her every day, and if she doesn't text back, I yell at her. I often tell my friends, 'Be safe, be careful.' They're all like, 'Well, was I going to be any other way?' Now I know how my mom feels."
Like mother, like daughter.
