Before he heads back to Glee into his new job as Vocal Adrenaline coach later this season, Jonathan Groff (Jesse St. James) will be taking on a different — and slightly less eeevil — TV role.

TVLine announced on January 4 that J-Groff will appear in a guest slot on CBS’ The Good Wife during February sweeps! In it, Jonathan will play Jimmy, a plaintiff who sues a software company following the disappearance of his sister during a peaceful protest in Syria.

Naturally, we know that Jonathan has serious skills — Hello, Tony nomination! — but it’ll be great to see him branching out more in the world of television! PLUS, this character sounds a lil’ nicer than our beloved(?) Jesse, right? Jimmy probably won’t be busy harassing poor high school students — and if he is, he’ll leave that ugly business to his lawyer... who we’re really hoping is none other than Alicia Florrick herself!

(And, BTW, we’re still waiting to find out exactly when The Groff’s Glee return is set to take place.)
