The first time we heard that Blaine (Darren Criss) had cheated on Kurt (Chris Colfer), we were livid. We hated Blaine. We hated Eli C. We kind of hated everything.

But there’s now been three episodes since Blaine’s big cheating reveal in Season 4, Episode 4: “The Break-Up,” and we’ve had some time to process the whole situation. It’s clear that Blaine is a total mess. He’s consumed with guilt over what he did to Kurt, and a deep sense of depression is taking over every aspect of his life.

So is it time that we — and more importantly, Kurt — got around to forgiving him? Has Blaine suffered enough?

We still think Blaine was wrong to cheat on Kurt, but his guilt-wracked conversation from Season 4, Episode 7: “Dynamic Duets,” definitely made us more open to the idea of forgiving him. Blaine told Sam (Chord Overstreet) that Eli was just some random guy who friended him on Facebook. They’d never met before, and they only hooked up once.

“I kept thinking that maybe Kurt and I weren’t meant for each other, that maybe we weren’t supposed to spend the rest of our lives together,” Blaine tells Sam. “But the horrible thing is, right after I did it, I knew: We were.”

There you have it. Blaine’s hookup with Eli made him realize one thing: That he wants to spend the rest of his life together with Kurt.

Of course, Blaine is now convinced that Kurt will never forgive him — or be able to trust him ever again. But maybe time can help heal those wounds. What do you think: Has Blaine suffered enough? Or are you still not ready to forgive him for all the pain he’s caused?
