We clearly weren't the only ones who noticed Lea Michele (Rachel)‘s significant weight loss between Glee’s first and second seasons, but home-girl gets a lot of flack for her 2010 extreme makeover slash alleged starvation diet. But the Glee diva fired back at those rumors and insists she can put away just as much food as anyone else.
"I'm half-Italian," she assured Allure (via Us Weekly), whose December cover she graces. "I can eat some bitches under the table!" Whoa. Watch out, Snooki. Lea's coming after your chicken parm — soy chicken parm, that is. Yes, Lea admits that she maintains her weight by eating vegan and cutting out a lot of her traditional pasta-based family faves. As for her initial weight loss? Apparently Lea got jaw surgery that summer and was forced to stay on some kind of liquid diet. Oookay.
But, in all seriousness, Lea eats. She promises. "People get confused," she says of her strict no animal product policy. "[They assume] I just eat grass."
That’s just ridiculous. Now, rose petals? Maybe.
