Glee’s Lea Michele (Rachel) just got a whole lot closer to releasing a debut solo album! And no, it’s not possible to pre-order the album just yet — but if we could, we would!

Lea had recently discussed plans for an album, but it didn’t become official until Lea took to Twitter yesterday to announce that that the process is finally underway. She tweeted, “Just had a very exciting music meeting and am proud to announce that im officially on the road to making my first album! I'm so excited!”

Lea is also feeling grateful for all her Gleeks. Shortly after the first tweet, she followed that up with this tweet: “There's so much to be thankful for right now. Feeling so blessed and thankful. And I couldn't do it without all of you! Love you guys!”

She’s not the only Glee gal with an album in the works, either. Naya Rivera (Santana) just signed with Elton John’s music management company, and she’ll be releasing her first single — a sexy dance-pop track titled, “My Heart” — by the end of the year. Amber Riley (Mercedes) is also has an R&B album in the works, though no official release date has been set.

So just what can we expect from Lea’s album? The Glee star previously told NYLON magazine that her album will be filled with anthemic, “power-girl” tunes. “I want to make songs where girls can just roll down the windows of their car or dance around in their rooms in their underwear, like, ‘I hate my ex-boyfriend!’ or ‘I’m so in love!’”

And who doesn’t want music to dance around in their underwear to?
