It’s official: Glee’s Rachel (Lea Michele) and Brody (Dean Geyer) are dunzo. The couple ended things during Season 4, Episode 17: “Guilty Pleasures.”

Of course, plenty of people saw this coming. When Finn (Cory Monteith) showed up in New York City at the end of Episode 16, not only did he kick Brody’s ass, but he also told the college student/part-time male escort that he was to leave Rachel alone and never see her again.

Well, Brody did see Rachel again. But the encounter was very brief, and he ended things on no uncertain terms. He told Rachel that the two of them were over, and even ended with that annoying little breakup staple: “We’ll always be friends.

Rachel, for her part, was both totally blindsided and deeply hurt by the split... until Santana (Naya Rivera) clued her in on what’s really been going on with Brody.

Are you glad to see Brody and Rachel end things, or were you actually sort of liking Brochel as a couple? Brody seemed sincere when he said that he still cared about Rachel. Perhaps he’s sort of like male version of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman: a working guy with a heart of gold? What do you think: Did Rachel and Brody end things too soon, or is this breakup long overdue?
