You may not recognize the name “Riker Lynch” — and you may not even know his Glee character name, Jeff — but Riker has a very familiar face. If you can’t quite place his blonde mop and cute countenance, here’s where you’ve seen him: on Glee, as a member of the crazy-popular Dalton Warblers. For Riker, the chance to be on the hit show has been a dream.

“It’s been absolutely amazing,” he gushed to Masslive. “I’m in shock. I had no idea the Warblers would get so big. I thought it would last one, maybe two episodes at most.”

How did he get onto the show in the first place? “I got a call from my agent. I get there and the script says you’re supposed to be at a prep school. I went to the audition in khakis and a blue button-up shirt. Eddy [Martin, who plays Thad] was in the room and he taught me the dance.”

As for his time on the hit show, Riker has enjoyed getting to know Darren Criss (Blaine) and Chris Colfer (Kurt). “Darren is a great front man,” Riker said. “He [...] is absolutely unbelievable. He’s such a good performer. He’s going to go so far. He’s one of the busiest people I know and the coolest dude ever.”

“Chris Colfer is the smartest person I’ve ever met,” Riker added.

So can we count him on Team Klaine? Yes! “There’s nothing wrong with it. You love who you love, it doesn’t matter.”

Wise words, young Riker. Wise words.
