Glee creator Ryan Murphy caused a huge fuss on Twitter this Monday, when he offered up details about Blaine’s (Darren Criss) wedding. Yes, you read that right. Blaine’s wedding.
On April 1, a fan asked if we would ever seen some of Blaine’s immediate family members again. Ryan’s answer was short and sweet: “Perhaps at the wedding.”
First of all, we have to acknowledge that he tweeted this on April Fools’ Day, so it could all be a hoax. However, this tweet was only one part of a very extensive Twitter Q&A, and all of Ryan’s other spoiler posts seemed totally serious.
Is Blaine really about to get hitched? Could his wedding perhaps be one of the “many cliffhangers” Ryan said are coming in the Season 4 finale?
Perhaps. But we actually have another idea. Way back in August, during a Twitter Q&A much like this one, Ryan revealed that he plans for Kurt (Chris Colfer) to get married at age 21. Since Kurt is only 19, this hypothetical wedding wouldn’t happen until Glee Season 6.
We know Ryan loves the idea of Kurt and Blaine ending up together eventually, so we wouldn’t be surprised if Kurt really did end up being the one Blaine will marry. But as for that wedding taking place sometime this season — we haven’t heard anything specific yet.
That doesn’t mean we can’t hope. And dream. If Ryan wanted to change his mind and move up Kurt and Blaine’s wedding date, you certainly wouldn’t hear us complain!
