In case you hadn’t heard, Jesse St. James is heading back to Lima for the final three episodes of Glee’s second season. Is Jonathan Groff excited about his devious character’s return?
“I love his confidence and how unabashedly full of himself he is,” Jonathan said to MassLive of his mischievous alter-ego. “Is he good or is he bad? Jesse certainly had a secret. He’s likable and unlikable at the same time. It’s a fun balance.”
Unfortunately for us, Jonathan doesn’t have many details about what he’ll be doing on Glee at the tail-end of Season 2, but he can offer at least one sneak peak. “I wish I knew more. I found out last week. Ryan Murphy contacted me. I start in a week or two. I’ll be singing with Lea probably, but I don’t know if [Jesse]’s raising havoc or coming to apologize.”
Will that apology, if it happens, lead to Jesse and Rachel going to prom? “Is that legal? Jesse graduated so I’m not sure if that would work. But I think it would be fun and dramatic.”
