If you’re familiar with Darren Criss’s (Blaine) work before Glee, you no doubt know that he first skyrocketed to internet fame playing Harry in the YouTube parody A Very Potter Musical.
Depending on how familiar you are with the show, you might have also noticed that the guy who played Ron Weasley was on Glee last night — appearing as a NYADA glee club member for Adam and The Apple’s performance of “Baby Got Back.”
Joey might have been a bit hard to recognize, considering that he wasn’t wearing that bright orange ginger wig, but that face is unmistakably the same. StarKid’s Joey Richter has now been on Glee.
Darren, who remains close friends with Joey even after their college days, made sure to let everyone know about it, too.
Plenty of Darren and Joey’s college pals took to Twitter to send their congrats, and to congratulate their friend Tessa Netting, who also played one of the Apples. Here’s a look at who said what.
And our personal favorite: for the hilarious Starship reference, of course.
After the show, Joey tweeted to thank everyone for their support.
The chance to see another StarKid on our Glee TV screen? C’mon, Joey. Who wouldn’t enjoy that?
