Uh, we're pretty sure Christmas came early for a select few Gleeks when some nude screen shots surfaced of Jonathan Groff (Jesse St. James) from the film Twelve Thirty, which he shot a couple of years ago. Obviously Jonathan knew what he was getting himself into when he shot the movie, but now that the pics have gone viral, does the Glee guest star have any regrets? Not a bit.
Here’s what he said to New York Magazine:
"I really loved doing that movie, and Jeff Lipsky, our director, had done this thing, Flannel Pajamas, which had some nudity in it as well, and the thing about the nudity in that movie that he was trying to capture in our movie was the reality of it, and not trying to hide it or cut away when people would normally be naked, so, I don't know, it's just a movie I did!"
But maybe now that he’s a big-time Glee star, he’ll be more conservative about baring his... nether regions?
"I don't think about how it'll end up on the Internet. I just do my work and whatever happens, happens," he calmly assured.
Honestly, it's not such a big deal, is it? We've all seen Daniel Radcliffe's manbits by now, and he's still Harry Potter. Plus, Jonathan already bared his booty for audiences on stage back during his Spring Awakening days during a love scene with (gasp!) a topless Lea Michele (Rachel). Sometimes people see your junk. It's fine. The Parents Television Council is too busy going after Ryan Murphy right now for portraying teen sex to criticize Jonathan for alleged poor role modeling, anyway.
