Do you remember back in the early days of Glee, when the show had almost as many celebrity guest stars as musical performances everyone from rapper Eve to the classically-trained Josh Groban?

Back then, Ryan Murphy managed to convince countless musical celebs to pop in for his show. We had Neil Patrick Harris, Eve, Kristin Chenoweth, and Olivia Newton-John in Season 1. Then there was Britney Spears, John Stamos, Idina Menzel, and Gwyneth Paltrow in Season 2. The list goes on and on.

Lately, though, Glee seems to have shied away from guest stars. Sure, we got that ill-fated Lindsay Lohan cameo back in Season 3 Regionals. But since then? Nothing.

If you ask us, it’s high time this show brought back the guest stars. And we have one in mind: Josh Groban.

The multi-platinum recording artist guest starred way back in Glee Season 1, appearing in both Episode 3: “Acafellas” and Episode 22: “Journey.” While many stars have appeared on the show as fictional characters, Josh played himself. Between his hilarious, no-holds-barred attitude and willingness to poke fun of himself, Josh’s cameo just might be one of our favorites the show has done.

He shamelessly hit on Will Schuester's mom — referring to both she, and himself — as alcoholics. He had a bodyguard named Flex. And he even received nude photos of Sandy Ryerson.

It seems pretty obvious that Josh has no problem making fun of himself, and that sort of attitude makes his Glee scenes memorable, even years later.

These days, Josh has just released his new album, “All That Echoes,” and it even trumped Justin Bieber for the top spot on the Billboard 200. So, with Josh in the spotlight once again, we think now would be a great time to pull him in for another guest spot onGlee.

What do you think? Would you want to see Josh make his grand return to McKinley, or have you had enough of the guest stars? Head below to let us know what you think.
